Change of Command
Capt Steven Roberts Assumes Command of TX-447
On Thursday June 20, the Civil Air Patrol Sabre Squadron had a change of command. Captain Steven Roberts assumed command of the Civil Air Patrol West Houston S.A.B.R.E. Squadron TX-447. Also present at the ceremony was retired Maj Leonard Russel, who was presented his official retirement certificate.
The squadron colors were successfully passed to new incoming Commander, Capt Steven Roberts. Outgoing Commander Robert Fay remarked: "I would like to thank everyone for your support over the last 4 years. It has been an honor to serve as your Commander. I am very excited for Sabre Squadron, and I feel that we are in a better place with Steven as our new Commander."
